Sarasota Christian Church's Benevolence Ministry exists to extend the love and compassion of Christ to those facing difficult seasons. Through practical support, prayer, and care, we seek to come alongside individuals and families with genuine encouragement and assistance when possible. Our desire is not only to meet immediate needs, but to remind people that they are seen, valued, and not walking through hardship alone. As the body of Christ, we believe we are called to bear one another’s burdens and reflect the hope and kindness of Jesus in tangible ways. To be faithful stewards of the funds provided for this ministry, please take a few minutes to complete our application below.
- A picture ID, proof of current address, and a copy of any related bills or expenses with your name on them will be required for anyone seeking assistance. You can attach those documents below.
- There is no guarantee of payment. We do not offer gift cards or gas cards. Please allow up to 72 hours for application processing. You will receive a phone call notifying you of an approval or denial of your request. We do not provide more than $250, and gifts are in check form, so you will be required to show proof of ID at the bank to cash them.
- Assistance can only be provided once in 1 year.
- We cannot help someone who is brought in as a referral from another individual we recently assisted for one month.
